About the role
The Georgia-Pacific Consumer Goods Division seeks a Fixed Equipment Reliability Leader to enhance maintenance and operations at the Naheola Mill in Pennington, AL. This role collaborates across mill facilities and supports the company's consumer products business.
Responsibilities
- Administer the Fixed Equipment (Mechanical Integrity) program to ensure compliance with company, regulatory, and industry standards.
- Develop and implement inspection plans, maintenance strategies, and repair procedures to ensure fixed equipment integrity and reliability.
- Manage and prioritize fixed equipment efforts based on risk, value, compliance, and business needs.
- Collaborate with other site capabilities groups to align with safety, environmental, and business vision.
- Support operations, maintenance, and capital project teams in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and equipment optimization.
- Participate in the design and construction of new fixed equipment to ensure maintainability, reliability, and safe operation.
- Assist in recognizing and addressing equipment deficiencies to prevent serious incidents.
- Ensure personnel are appropriately qualified and have access to necessary procedures for fixed equipment inspection, testing, and maintenance.
- Provide engineering support to Maintenance and Operations teams, including troubleshooting, problem solving, cost estimating, and implementing mechanical design solutions.
- Contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) efforts to identify and address root causes of mechanical integrity problems.
- Support the design and implementation of Asset Improvement Strategies to enhance production and uptime.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field OR seven (7) years of maintenance/reliability experience in a manufacturing, industrial, chemical, oil & energy, or military environment.
- Three (3) years of experience in managing and executing a fixed equipment or mechanical integrity program.
Qualifications
- Experience supervising others, including employees and contractors.
- API Certifications.
