The Fixed Assets Specialist works closely with both Accounting and Operations teams, providing visibility across multiple business functions while supporting a portfolio of established locations and ongoing development projects. Key Responsibilities

• Review, process, and record fixed assets associated with existing restaurant locations, remodels, and capital improvement projects
• Apply capitalization policies and fixed asset guidelines while reviewing invoices, construction documentation, and project expenditures
• Maintain fixed asset records, process asset retirements, and ensure accurate asset classification
• Review repair and maintenance expenses monthly to identify capitalization opportunities and support compliance with accounting policies
• Prepare depreciation accruals, journal entries, supporting schedules, and documentation to ensure accurate month-end reporting

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience or 1+ year of analytical accounting, reconciliations, or fixed asset accounting experience
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas and VLOOKUPs; experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems preferred
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, journal entries, and balance sheet/income statement relationships
