Who We Want
Miller Industries is seeking Fitter/Welders for our 1st Shift in Burton, MI. The position is available from 6 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend overtime for production.
What You Will Be Doing
- Reading and following engineered drawings
- Cutting, welding, and assembling materials for custom products
- Fabricating, welding, and installing products according to engineered drawings
- Welding components in various positions (flat, vertical, overhead)
- Operating and recognizing hand and power tools used in the welding trade
- Aiding in the layout, positioning, alignment, and securing of parts and assemblies
- Assisting with customer order fulfillment
- Communicating clearly with team members and customers
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment

Requirements
- Integrity, energy, creativity, and a positive attitude
- Critical thinking and good judgment
- 5+ years of fabrication and welding experience (MIG, TIG, and Arc), with welding certifications preferred
- Ability to read cut lists and engineering drawings
- Skills in using tools such as saws, drills, grinders, cut-off wheels, clamps, levels, and tape measures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to maintain a professional and clean workspace and assist in shop housekeeping
- Strong safety mindset and willingness to participate in and promote our safety culture
- Physical and mental strength to perform duties in extreme environments and handle stressors
Physical & Mental Requirements
- Frequent lifting and moving of 10-50 pounds
- Frequent standing, sitting, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, bending, and operating tools and controls
- Handling stressors of the position in both operational and administrative situations
