About the role
The Multnomah Athletic Club is seeking a Fitness Coach to join our Fitness & Performance team. This team empowers a community of lifelong athletes through high-quality training and exceptional member experiences.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive client assessments, including health histories, movement evaluations, and readiness screenings.
- Design and adapt individualized training programs tailored to client goals, injuries, and medical considerations.
- Lead high-quality, engaging training sessions with professionalism, positive energy, and clear coaching cues.
- Provide ongoing support through consistent follow-up, program adjustments, and personalized exercise guidance.
- Maintain accurate and timely records, including billing, scheduling, and administrative tasks.
- Participate in team meetings, continuing education opportunities, and club-wide initiatives.
- Uphold all MAC safety standards and remain prepared to respond effectively to emergency situations.
- Contribute to a welcoming, community-focused environment that supports MAC’s mission of developing lifelong athletes.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or equivalent and one year of education, training, and/or experience that would demonstrate the ability to perform the work of this position.
- Technical understanding of human anatomy, biomechanics, and physiology as it relates to personal training applications.
- Previous personal training experience preferred.
Qualifications
- All personal trainers must hold nationally accredited fitness and CPR/AED/First Aid certifications.
