Key Responsibilities
- Provide orientation and instruction on proper usage of fitness equipment to adult and teen members.
- Provide outstanding hospitality to all members and guests.
- Assist members in effectively utilizing fitness equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the fitness center.
- Perform equipment inspections and report results to the supervisor.
- Monitor fitness areas to ensure compliance with YMCA policies and procedures.
- Support community and promotional special events as needed.
Desired Skills & Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum age of 18 years old.
- Experience working in a health and fitness environment.
- Current adult CPR/First Aid certifications.
- Knowledge of Orientation to Healthy Living at the Y.
- Knowledge of Principles of Member Health & Wellness, Foundations of Listen First, and Foundations of Strength and Conditioning.
- Excellent customer service skills.
