$15.15 per hour

About the Role
The Attendant, Fitness assists the fitness staff to execute courteous service to members in the fitness area. This position reports to the Wellness Director.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the BlueStar Experience for members and guests by modeling and maintaining the standards set in the BlueStar 10 and adhering to BSRG and facility policies
- Operate as part of a team handling daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, facility inspections, stocking, and communicating maintenance needs
- Maintain and organize equipment in Fitness and Locker Room areas
- Replenish supply of clean towels in Fitness and Locker Rooms throughout the shift
- Inspect and maintain Fitness stations for neatness and cleanliness
- Demonstrate function of Fitness equipment, proper use, and techniques
- Welcome and check-in members and guests at the front desk, providing exceptional customer service
- Provide feedback to managers about customer satisfaction and concerns to improve operations
- Develop in-depth knowledge of all Fitness services and products to promote them enthusiastically
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1–3 years of direct customer service and hospitality experience required
- 1–3 years of health and fitness-related work experience preferred
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Knowledgeable in fitness club operations
- Skilled in attentive customer service and calmly responding to guest concerns
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, portions, and percentages
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to respond to the needs and requests of staff, guests, and the community association
- Demonstrated initiative—ability to think, work, and make independent decisions based on sound judgment
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement is expected
- Flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends
- Valid driver’s license required

Work Environment
This position operates indoors and routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copy, and fax machines. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Demands

- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk (occasionally for extended periods)
- Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; bend and reach with hands and arms
