Fiscal Office Medical Biller SNF

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our Long Term Care team. This position is responsible for inpatient billing, Medicaid application processing and conversions, private pay billing, deposits, collections, and overall revenue cycle support.

Key Responsibilities

• Process inpatient billing for Managed Care, and private insurance.
• Prepare and submit accurate claims in accordance with payer guidelines.
• Manage Medicaid applications and conversions, including follow-up with residents, families, and local agencies.
• Track pending Medicaid cases and ensure timely submission of required documentation.
• Generate and manage private pay billing statements.
• Post payments, reconcile accounts, and manage resident deposits.
• Monitor accounts receivable and conduct follow-up on outstanding balances.
• Handle collections professionally and in compliance with facility policy and regulations.
• Work closely with admissions, social services, and administration to ensure accurate payer source verification.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and facility billing regulations.
• Prepare reports related to census, A/R aging, and revenue tracking.
• Assist during audits and provide requested billing documentation.

Qualifications

• Medical billing experience (Long Term Care / Skilled Nursing preferred).
• Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and private pay billing.
• Experience with Medicaid eligibility, applications, and conversions.
• Proficiency in EMR and billing software systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
