First Year Experience Faculty

About the role

The First Year Experience (FYE) faculty member will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging, interactive learning experiences that support students' academic success and personal growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement innovative curricula that align with the university's mission and goals.
• Collaborate with peers and campus partners to enhance student engagement and retention strategies.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback through regular check-ins and mid-term evaluations.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in higher education.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in Higher Education, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Experience teaching college-level courses, preferably in a first-year context.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with technology integration in the classroom.
• Knowledge of student development theories and practices.

Skills

• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
