Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and prioritize an internal ticketing system to provide customer support.
  • Perform basic operating system storage troubleshooting, storage upgrades, hardware troubleshooting, and RAID configuration changes.
  • Provide hardware support and upgrades for servers running Microsoft Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Server, Ubuntu Linux, or VMWare ESX Server.
  • Conduct simple operating system administration tasks, including setting up OS network IPs, fresh OS installs (using PXE), firmware updates, and basic OS troubleshooting.
  • Install or remove fiber or copper cabling and perform Layer 1 network testing and connectivity issue resolution.
  • Install network device hardware including switches, firewalls, load-balancers, and security appliances.
  • Install hardware on storage devices including DAS and NAS arrays.
  • Complete customer maintenance requests that include hardware modification, operating system installation, mounting of devices within cabinets, and completion of required cabling.

Qualifications

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 5 years of experience working in a data center environment.
  • Able to build, repair, or upgrade hardware components.
  • Strong understanding of storage RAID configurations and requirements.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs overhead.

Pay

The compensation range for this position is $67,568.00/year in the lowest geographic market up to $90,125.00/year in the highest geographic market. Pay is based on factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
