About the role
The First Cook role performs a variety of duties normally performed in serving customers, preparing food, transporting and emptying trash receptacles, cleaning the kitchen, serving and seating areas, assisting in receiving and storing stock, cashiering, checking and recording hot and cold temperatures, and washing dishes.
Responsibilities
- Perform safe food handling, prep, and sanitation techniques.
- Prepare and serve food to customers.
- Transport and empty trash receptacles.
- Clean the kitchen and serving and seating areas.
- Assist in receiving and storing stock.
- Handle cash, make change, and count money as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience demonstrating the ability to perform safe food handling, prep, and sanitation techniques.
- Basic arithmetic skills.
- Computer and computerized cash register skills.
