First Coaching Assistant - Women's Basketball
California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) invites applications for a full-time 1st Coaching Assistant position for Women’s Basketball, starting August 10, 2026. About the Role
The ideal candidate will have successful coaching and recruiting experience at the collegiate level, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a strong commitment to the academic and holistic development of student-athletes. The Assistant Coach will serve as a mentor and positive role model, demonstrating sensitivity to equity, inclusion, and diversity while working with a diverse student-athlete population.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily operations of the Women’s Basketball program in accordance with NCAA, CCAA Conference, and CSUDH rules, regulations, and policies.
- Provide coaching instruction and player development.
- Support recruiting efforts, practice and game preparation.
- Promote the academic success and overall well-being of student-athletes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of successful NCAA Division I, II, or III basketball coaching experience.
- Experience working with students from diverse age, socioeconomic, cultural, and academic backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Coaching experience at the Division II level.
- Master’s degree.

Pay
The full-time Coach (12-month) salary range is $6,288 to $7,658 per month (12 monthly payments per academic year). The anticipated hiring salary range for this position is $6,288 to $6,500 per month, commensurate with experience.
