Duties And Responsibilities
- First Article Builds
- Compile pertinent information to develop the most efficient build process during the first article build phase.
- alert Methods Engineers of any questions found during first article build process to be formally submitted to customer for clarification.
- Filter any adjustments needed to the bill of materials/in process routers/work instructions during build process to the Methods Engineers for updating.
- Take photos of all stages of the first article build process to be included in work instructions.
- Use information gathered in the first article build process to create detailed work instructions to be used on the production floor.
- Production Support
- Provide support to production floor when any questions arise.
- Competent working with MS Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Ability to read and comprehend cable drawings.
- Ability to read and comprehend specifications and standards.
- Ability to safely use soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, grinders, multimeters, meggers, heat guns and cable manufacturing machinery.
- Math skills required with the ability to work with fractions and decimals.
- Must know how to read and use measuring equipment (ruler, tape measure, calipers).
- Minimum of 2 years in manufacturing industry, preferably in the field of cable manufacturing.
