Fireproofer

Job Description

• Apply fireproofing materials in new and existing commercial construction applications
• Inspect work to ensure the installation is complete per approved shop drawings
• Able to complete masking and tarping responsibilities
• Able to read and understand thickness and structural drawings
• Perform mixing of plaster material to desired consistency
• Apply scratch, brown or finish coats of plaster to walls and ceilings for a uniform finish
• Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe environment
• Able to work from elevated platforms (e.g., lifts, scaffolds)

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be comfortable working from heights and elevated platforms such as scaffolding or lifts
• Able to withstand prolonged periods standing and working outside
• Physically able to perform assigned tasks
• Able to lift 40 pounds at a time
• Ability to perform basic math
• Must have reliable transportation
