About the role

Kaminski Construction is hiring an experienced Commercial Waterproofer to support new construction, restoration, and building-envelope projects throughout the Bend region. This hands-on position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing waterproofing systems, traffic coatings, sealants, and air and vapor barriers.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare concrete, masonry, and other substrates for waterproofing applications.
  • Install fluid-applied, sheet-applied, and self-adhered waterproofing systems.
  • Apply coatings and waterproofing products using brushes, rollers, sprayers, and trowels.
  • Install joint sealants at expansion, contraction, control, and construction joints.
  • Apply air barriers, moisture barriers, water repellents, and traffic coating systems.
  • Inspect work areas for surface defects, installation concerns, and potential water-intrusion issues.
  • Complete repairs, touch-ups, and adjustments needed to achieve watertight installations.
  • Follow manufacturer specifications, project plans, and company quality standards.
  • Communicate and coordinate with project managers, superintendents, contractors, and other trades.
  • Maintain organized, clean, and safe work areas.
  • Follow all company safety policies and job-site requirements.
  • Complete additional construction-related duties that may reasonably be assigned.

Requirements

  • At least three years of commercial waterproofing, sealant, concrete restoration, building-envelope, or closely related construction experience is preferred.
  • Practical knowledge of waterproofing products, surface preparation, and application methods.
  • Familiarity with several of the following systems:
    • Air and vapor barriers
    • Moisture-control systems
    • Traffic and pedestrian coatings
    • Water-repellent treatments
    • Fluid-applied waterproofing
    • Self-adhered membranes
    • Commercial joint sealants
  • Ability to recognize substrate defects and troubleshoot water-intrusion concerns.
  • Ability to safely operate common hand tools, power tools, and application equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to read and follow product instructions, safety requirements, and basic project specifications.
  • Dependable attendance, punctuality, and professional communication.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel to regional project sites when required.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred.

Skills

  • Ability to lift and carry construction materials and equipment.
  • Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in changing weather and job-site conditions.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment.

Pay

$35-$42 per hour, based on experience.

Schedule

The standard schedule is Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., providing a four-day workweek. Start times, end times, and total hours may occasionally change based on project schedules, weather, travel, and operational needs.
