About the Role

To perform the maintenance and upkeep of the hospital high pressure boilers and related equipment in accordance with and as mandated by Massachusetts law.

Responsibilities

• Conducts PM (computer generated, and as referenced in the engineering policy manual) activities according to schedule and takes appropriate corrective action where required; uses own initiative to investigate and implement a valued course of action.
• Maintains and repairs all equipment and issues as it relates to their trade to maximize efficiency and the operation of same; carries out the repair to a professional conclusion.
• Organizes the procurement of parts, equipment, and supplies in order to assure economies are achieved.
• Recognizes needed repairs in other areas of responsibility and implements and troubleshoots corrective action through the appropriate channels.
• Applies a high degree of skill, knowledge, and creativity to provide a professional outcome.
• Performs related duties as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of experience in a similar environment.
• TQM knowledge base.
• Second Class Fireman’s License.

Pay

$21.94 - $32.90 per hour. Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.
