Fire Sprinkler Service Technician Level II

Role Overview

We are seeking a fire sprinkler service level II life safety technician to inspect, test, service, and repair fire sprinkler systems and related components. The role involves ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and maintaining relationships with customers.

What You Will Be Doing

• Perform inspection and testing of fire sprinkler systems according to NFPA 25 guidelines
• Troubleshoot and perform service and repair of fire sprinkler systems
• Document all inspections, repairs, discrepancies, and recommendations
• Maintain a positive relationship with customers and address their needs
• Maintain vehicle and equipment in good condition
• Evaluate customer sites for additional equipment and services
• Comply with the company's safety program
• Test backflow prevention devices as required by NFPA 25 and local codes
• Discuss deficiencies with customers and explain solutions
• Work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Qualifications

• 2 years of water-based fire protection systems layout and related work experience
• At least 12 months of core water-based fire protection systems layout experience
• 5 years of experience in any one or any combination of special hazards suppression systems installation, special hazards systems layout, inspection and testing of water-based systems, sprinkler system installation
• Ability to calculate basic math including fractions, decimals, and percentages
• Knowledge and ability to operate basic computer functions and software
• Valid U.S. driver's license

IDEAL QUALITIES

• 2 - 5 years of experience with water-based fire protection systems
• NICET II Certification in water-based systems
• State license in the relevant state if applicable
