Responsibilities
- Perform fire sprinkler system repairs, maintenance, and upgrades
- Testing and perform maintenance on fire pumps
- Flow testing and perform maintenance on fire hydrants
- Mix, pour, and mold concrete for fire pumps
- Keep tools and equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, etc.
- Complete and produce reports that are legible, accurate and detailed
- Invoice paperwork in a timely manner
- Stay current with code requirements and industry changes
- Attend and complete all required trainings, including safety training
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years prior, relevant work experience
- Able to work flexible hours including on-call rotation, nights, and weekend to meet customer needs
- Able to carry and move tools and equipment up to 50-70 lbs
- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions – climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
- Able to travel to multiple job sites each day
- Able to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders multiples times a day
- High precision/ detail-oriented
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work independently, with little supervision
- Knowledge of fire systems and tools
- Does not take short-cuts: work effectively and efficiently while performing all aspects of the required job
- Preferred: G Card, OSHA Certification, Knowledge working in Profit Zoom, Building Reports, and Paylocity, Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
