Responsibilities

  • Receive service calls from Service Resource Center, including a brief description of equipment/system malfunctions.
  • Contact customer representative and ascertain equipment/systems problems.
  • Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential applications, including but not limited to:
    • Wet systems (steel, copper, and CPVC)
    • Dry systems
    • Pre-action systems
    • Deluge systems
    • Fire pumps
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service, with strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.
  • Work independently.
  • Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals, part manuals, change notices, bulletins, and modification notices to diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
  • Perform physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs.
  • Work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, and above ceilings.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of documented experience in the Fire Sprinkler industry performing service and repair to Sprinkler and Suppression systems.
  • Computer/phone skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, and mobile apps/functions.
  • Ability to perform service work on all water-based fire protection systems.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements.
  • Overnight travel may be required.
  • Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Capable of following, reading, and understanding all safety requirements of the company and the customer.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NICET certification
  • Backflow certification
  • Fire pump experience

Pay

Hiring hourly range: $28.70 - $39.47. Rate determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
