Fire Sprinkler Manager
Provide oversight of the overall management, operations, and financial performance for the assigned Sprinkler department(s). Act as a subject matter expert to achieve profitability, growth, and performance metrics.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the fire sprinkler department including performance of inspections, services, and installs.
- Responsible for the financial performance of the assigned department, including gross revenue, gross margin, overhead, and Profit & Loss (P&L) statements.
- Communicate and strategize with management regarding financial progress, growth strategies, and human capital requirements.
- Ensure proper execution of internal workflow, fieldwork, quality assurance, and compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Achieve departmental objectives through operational and process improvements.
- Maintain proper staffing levels using company procedures and HR support.
- Oversee the use, maintenance, and repair of company assets including equipment, tools, supplies, and fleet.
- Conduct spot checks and ride-a-longs with field technicians to review quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
- Review and adjust technician routes for efficiency and train staff on scheduling best practices.
- Lead monthly shop meetings with field and office staff, including Safety Toolbox Talks.
- Attend and monitor install project meetings and coordination meetings as needed.
- Oversee coordination and execution of inspections and service jobs.
- Lead final checkout/commissioning with AHJ, owners, architects, engineers, and contractors.
- Ensure communication between Sales and Operations for scheduling, materials, and coordination.
- Review material preparation, orders, job staging, and tool readiness.
- Manage material orders to regulate standard stock quantities.
- Oversee communication with the Billing department for accurate and timely invoicing.
- Support business development to increase market share in the assigned area.
- Participate in quote presentations for legacy customers.
- Promote and coordinate continuing education and certification of employees.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent, required.
- 3 years of Fire Life Safety Industry experience specifically within Fire Suppression, required.
- 3 years of professional computer skills, preferred.
- 2 years of supervisory experience, preferred.
- Familiarity with business intelligence systems, Sage 300 CRE, or similar.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to comply with drug and alcohol policy and background screening requirements.
- Must be able to travel 90% of the time.

- Effective communication in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
Physical & Work Environment
- Frequently bend, ascend/descend ladders/stairs, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs, reach above/below shoulders, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Occasionally balance, crouch, drive, kneel, lift over 50 lbs, sit, stoop, twist, and work at heights.
- Regularly work outside and be exposed to hot/cold temperatures, dust, fumes, chemicals, electrical hazards, and noise.
- Occasionally work indoors in an office setting, alone, or with others.
- Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required by company safety policies.
