Build a Career That Helps Protect Lives and Property Century Fire Protection is seeking a motivated Fire Sprinkler Inspector to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with fire sprinkler, mechanical, service, or installation experience who wants to develop a long-term career in fire protection. In this entry-level role, you will receive hands-on training while assisting with the inspection and testing of fire sprinkler systems. You will learn NFPA 25 requirements, proper inspection procedures, and accurate reporting practices while working alongside experienced fire protection professionals. What You’ll Do Assist with and perform routine fire sprinkler system inspections in accordance with NFPA 25 and local codes.Inspect wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems under supervision.Test valves, gauges, alarms, and other system components.Accurately document inspection results, deficiencies, and observations.Communicate inspection findings to lead inspectors and supervisors.Maintain inspection tools, testing equipment, and assigned company vehicle.Follow OSHA requirements and company safety procedures.Participate in technical training, safety meetings, and certification programs.Provide professional, courteous service to customers at each jobsite. What We’re Looking For High school diploma or GED.Completion of a relevant training program and/or one to two years of experience in fire sprinkler inspection, service, installation, mechanical systems, or a related field.Basic understanding of fire sprinkler or mechanical systems.Ability to follow technical procedures and instructions.Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation.Dependable, safety-focused, and willing to learn.Comfortable using Microsoft applications and mobile technology.Experience with ServiceTrade or a similar field-service platform is preferred.NICET Level I in Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems is preferred, or the ability and willingness to obtain certification. Physical and Work Requirements This is a field-based position that requires the ability to climb ladders, access mechanical rooms, inspect overhead piping, and work in active facilities and varying weather conditions. Candidates must be able to read technical documents and inspect system components closely. The position may require lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, completing reports electronically, and working occasional overtime or on-call assignments.
