Inspector

About the role

Valence Surface Technologies is a full-service surface finishing company specializing in the commercial aerospace, defense, space and satellite industries. With strategically located sites across the United States, Valence provides a start to finish solution from NDT and chemical processing, to paint and sub-assembly.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document in-process, first article, receiving and final inspections on aircraft parts and processes
• Read and interpret information from planning documents, tool design, blue prints, specifications and quality inspection procedures to develop clear, complete and precise records of inspection
• Calibrate inspection tools and equipment prior to using
• Interface with other individuals from various departments on issues related to quality
• Provide and assist operators in understanding and interpreting quality specifications and procedures
• Initiate and prepare nonconformance reports and provide to QA administrators
• Conduct internal audits as required
• Suggests new and improved methods for continuous improvement of the quality management system
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
• Experience: 1 plus years of experience in Inspection
• Other Requirements: Familiar with precision tools
• ITAR/Export Compliance: This position requires access to knowledge and technical data regulated by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Valence Surface Technologies is required to verify that applicants meet ITAR requirements prior to employment for this role. Export Compliance Requirement This position requires access to EAR or ITAR controlled technologies. Applicants are required to be eligible for employment under U.S. export control laws and must meet the requirement of being a “U.S. Persons”.

Pay

Salary Range:$18-$21
