Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed layouts and fabrication drawings using AutoSPRINK and AutoCAD
- Perform hydraulic calculations and system designs for commercial and industrial projects
- Review architectural and engineering plans for compliance, constructability, and accuracy
- Cook up with project managers, field teams, contractors, and customers throughout project lifecycles
- Support multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and schedule requirements
- Provide technical expertise throughout the design and installation process
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of fire sprinkler design experience
- NICET Certification (Level I, II, III, or IV) - required
- Experience with AutoSPRINK - required
- Proficiency with AutoCAD
- Knowledge of NFPA codes and fire protection industry standards
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a project team
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- NICET Level III or IV
- Experience with commercial and industrial fire sprinkler systems
- Background working for a fire protection contractor
- Union environment experience
- Project management or lead designer experience
Pay
$52,000 - $100,000 annually (DOE)
