What You’ll Do
- Design fire sprinkler systems, including fire pumps, tanks, wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems.
- Create accurate designs that support efficient field installation.
- Submit designs for approval and obtain permits as required.
- Complete design calculations and ensure projects stay within allocated hours.
- Review work orders and procedures to determine project requirements.
- Prepare submittal packages and correspondence needed for design approval.
- Prepare fabrication lists and requisition materials.
- Conduct field surveys to verify designs fit the structure.
- Support field personnel with design-related installation issues.
- Prepare final close-out documents following acceptance testing.
What You Bring
- A high school diploma or GED.
- 3–6 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- NICET certification is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce constructible designs.
- Experience with AutoSPRINK preferred; SprinkCAD, AutoCAD, or HydroCAD also a plus.
- Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word and Excel.
