About the Role
The Fire Service Manager oversees operations, sales, and administration within the fire suppression department. This role provides strategic guidance, supervision, training, and leadership to a diverse workforce, with a focus on the fire technician position.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Directly manages a team of employees.
- Responsible for hiring, coaching, developing, and managing performance for direct reports.
Responsibilities
- Assume full profit and loss accountability for the service department.
- Ensure effective planning and achievement of project long-term and short-term goals.
- Maximize engagement and performance of service personnel in compliance with applicable laws and company values.
- Ensure adherence to the service department’s budget parameters, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with management, customers, and service/sales personnel for smooth implementation of activities.
- Build and develop partnerships to grow the business within the industry marketplace.
- Oversee branch KPI results, including coaching, managing, and leading team members.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field (preferred).
- Professional certification in Fire Protection, specifically extinguishers (required).
- Certification in alarms, sprinklers, and special hazards (preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in the B2B Services industry.
- 1+ years of supervisory or management experience.
- Strong marketing and sales strategy development experience.
- Working knowledge of the fire protection industry.
- Ability to set and meet aggressive business objectives.
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven leadership in driving staff performance.
- Experience building strategic partnerships and market growth.
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and ability to pass a drug and background check.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, and talking on the phone.
- Participation in virtual online meetings and computer work.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and travel as needed.
