Job Summary
We are seeking professional, dependable, state-licensed Fire Protection Systems Inspectors who hold the necessary credentials in their state to conduct inspections on a variety of fire suppression and safety systems.

Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Inspect, test, and/or maintain the following (among other potential systems): Hydrant Systems, Wet Sprinkler Systems, Dry Sprinkler Systems, Standpipe Systems, Backflow Prevention Devices, Deluge Systems, Fire Pumps, and other fire suppression equipment.
- Conduct functionality tests to ensure all systems meet applicable local/state codes and industry standards (NFPA).
- Identify, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on malfunctioning equipment.
- Cook with the Service Department for any necessary follow-up work that extends beyond routine maintenance or requires specialized parts.
- Maintain clear, accurate records of inspection results, test data, and any corrective actions taken.
- Ensure all required documentation is completed promptly and provided to customers, authorities having jurisdiction, or internal teams as needed.
- Coordinate with the local fire departments and other authorities to prevent false alarms or unnecessary responses during testing.
- Provide clear and concise updates to customers regarding inspection findings, repair needs, and system status.
- Collaborate with Area Coordinators and office staff to schedule, reschedule, or update inspection status.
- Assist in emergencies and other urgent customer requests.
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Job Qualifications & Requirements
- State Licensing: Must be appropriately licensed in the state of operation to inspect the listed fire protection systems (required).
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; 1-2 years of post-high school education or technical training preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience with fire protection systems (hydrants, sprinklers, backflow, standpipe, extinguishers, etc.) highly desired. Construction, plumbing, or mechanical background a plus.
- Technical Skills: Ability to operate electronic devices (e.g., Apple iPad or similar) for documentation and reporting. Comfortable with referencing NFPA codes and relevant local/state regulations.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills to effectively work with clients, office staff, and local authorities.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and climb ladders (up to 8 ft.). Must be able to stand, kneel, or crouch for extended periods as needed.
- Schedule: Must be able to work Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., with flexibility to handle varied tasks and meet deadlines.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license required for travel throughout the territory.
