Fire Protection Sales Service Technician

State Systems, the leading fire protection company in the Mid-South, is seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team in the Jonesboro, AR area. This position is ideal for self-starters who enjoy working independently while being part of a collaborative team. Responsibilities

• Sell services and products within an assigned territory, maintaining sales/service quotas and following established guidelines.
• Identify prospects using creative lead-generating techniques.
• Present sales proposals to prospects, highlighting the advantages of our products and services over competitors.
• Follow up with prospects to close sales.
• Inspect, service, install, and maintain fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems, and exit/emergency lighting.
• Process work orders and complete all paperwork according to standardized procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record that meets company requirements.
• Proficient computer skills in Windows-based software and MS Office 2000 or higher.
• Strong analytical and mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiating, and time management skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and maintain good organizational skills.
• Flexible, action-oriented, and customer-focused with a consultative sales approach.
• Ability to work a full-time schedule, including travel, nights, and weekends to accommodate customer needs.
• Must live in Jonesboro, AR or surrounding areas.
• Must successfully complete an employment background investigation and drug screening.

Physical Requirements & Exposures

• Must be in good physical condition with no limitations.
• Must be willing to work outdoors in inclement weather.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds and carry 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Must be able to push and pull greater than 100 pounds as needed.
• Must be able to safely climb a ladder and reach a height of at least 12 ft.
• Constant (5-8 hrs/shift) standing, walking, handling items, and eye/hand/foot coordination.
• Frequent (2-5 hrs/shift) lifting, carrying, repetitive motions, noise exposure, and grasping items.
• Occasional (up to 2 hrs/shift) sitting, pushing, pulling, climbing, stooping, balancing, reaching, crouching, and exposure to weather.
• May require handling chemicals that are skin and/or respiratory irritants; must not be sensitive to these materials or environments. MSDS are available.

Pay

Compensation is commission-based, with first-year earnings potential of $40,000 to $60,000. Top performers have the potential to earn more in subsequent years.
