The Solutions Senior Sales Executive role supports our Nashville, TN branch, serving customers in the greater Nashville, TN area. Siemens empowers customers by bridging the real and digital worlds, enhancing efficiency, safety, adaptability, and responsibility in buildings.

About the role

This role focuses on growing and managing relationships with contractors, consultants, developers, and end-users within the commercial Smart Buildings Total Fire Alarm & Life Safety Solutions team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing plans for strategic growth
  • Identifying new business opportunities and creating go-to-market strategies
  • Maintaining a qualified pipeline of opportunities and achieving new order/booking and profit goals
  • Collaborating with operations and internal teams for excellent customer outcomes
  • Partnering with other sales divisions for new projects and accounts
  • Attending industry-specific networking events and participating in professional organizations
  • Influencing new construction specifications by developing relationships with consulting engineers and architects
  • Working with various levels of the customer's organization to understand and document their business goals and success metrics
  • Performing customer site surveys to support the development of multi-offering estimates and proposals
  • Developing value-based proposals, estimates, specifications, and presentations
  • Collaborating with operations, finance, legal, and other resources to obtain the sale
  • Maintaining relationships with customers to ensure high satisfaction levels and future business
  • Actively participating in sales department meetings, workshops, and seminars to stay informed on market trends
  • Traveling overnight up to 10% for training and business development

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or state-recognized GED
  • 3+ years of experience in end-to-end sales, business development, or consulting within the commercial fire alarm/life safety or similar commercial building construction industries
  • Experience with common fire and life safety systems and equipment, and understanding of building fire alarm codes and standards (IFC, IBC, NFPA, etc.)
  • Financial expertise in estimating and selling technical solutions and service product lines
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Must be 21 years of age and have a valid driver's license with limited violations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering
  • NICET Level I or II Fire Alarm Certification or must complete certification testing within 2 years
  • Experience selling to electrical and general contractors and performing fire alarm design services with electrical/fire protection engineers
  • Proficiency with Salesforce CRM
