About the role
Midwest Fire is seeking an individual to work in their manufacturing environment in Luverne, MN. They produce emergency fire apparatus and are looking for someone who can work in a fast-paced professional manufacturing environment.Responsibilities
- Assembly of mechanical parts
- Riveting techniques, use of tools (tape measure, caliper, micrometer)
- Final Assembly of cradle, body
- Testing & detail of completed truck
- Auxiliary tasks including inventory control and assisting other departments (Fabrication, Paint, Set-Up)
- Supporting lean and continuous improvement initiatives within the facility
- Ensuring adherence to safety and professional standards
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and mechanical aptitude
- Experience in the fire apparatus field, and/or plumbing or electrical assembly is a bonus, but not required
