Fire Alarm Technician

Location: New York City, NY (servicing all five boroughs) | Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

We are seeking several Fire Alarm Technicians to work with a mid-size fire alarm company in Bayside, Queens. The company handles large contracts throughout the New York area and operates in a fast-paced environment. Our client specializes in commercial fire protection systems, including fire suppression, coded systems, voice communication, and air sampling systems.

Responsibilities

• Programming, troubleshooting, and servicing of various fire alarm systems and panels
• Conducting inspections of fire alarm systems
• Reading and interpreting fire alarm riser diagrams
• Applying knowledge of electronics theories and principles (Ohm's Law, AC/DC)
• Troubleshooting circuitry

Requirements

• 2+ years of fire alarm experience preferred (experience in programming, troubleshooting, inspections, or servicing considered)
• For mid to upper-range candidates: 2+ years in the fire protection industry
• S-98 Certificate of Fitness
• Electronics training
• Good verbal and written communication skills
