Fire Alarm Technician

About the role

Fire Alarm Technician at University City Housing, a Philadelphia-based property management company managing 4,000 residential units and 250,000 square feet of commercial space in the Greater Philadelphia area. The technician will support the property management portfolio across the region, with varied daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair fire alarm systems
• Perform system testing and inspections to ensure proper functionality
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for accurate installations
• Diagnose system issues and complete necessary repairs promptly
• Install and route low-voltage wiring for system integration
• Stay current on industry technology, equipment, and procedures

Requirements

• Previous fire alarm experience
• NICET Fire Alarm Systems Level 1 Certification
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
• Ability to work at heights and with ladders
• Willingness to work non‑traditional hours for emergencies
• Ability to travel throughout Greater Philadelphia
