Responsibilities

  • Installation, service, and testing of fire alarm and burglar alarm systems
  • Provide customers with required equipment documentation and training
  • Install and upgrade all new systems as required by the manufacturer
  • Complete installation of systems in an efficient and profitable manner
  • Obtain the State of Nevada required “F” card certification
  • Read and follow floor plans for installation and testing tasks
  • Proficient with documentation required for maintaining system testing records, communicating internally, and other related communication needs
  • Supervise various electrical subcontractors as they install fire alarm cable and equipment per project scope

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years experience with fire alarm service
  • Customer service experience
  • Knowledge of NFPA National Fire Alarm Codes
  • Knowledge of NFPA 101 Life Safety Code
  • Familiar with inspection procedures
  • Perform duties in a safe and professional manner
  • Notifier, DMP, Bosch, Fire-Lite, and Honeywell overall knowledge preferred
  • Available for on-call and willing to work overtime as needed
  • Knowledge of programming fire alarm systems
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification in construction

Qualifications

  • NICET II Certification (preferred)
  • Alarm System Notifier experience including troubleshooting and programming (preferred)

Pay

The hourly pay range for this position is $35.00–$45.00 per hour. The starting hourly pay will be determined based on qualifications, experience, education, skills, certifications, and internal equity.
