Fire Alarm Systems Service Technician
About the role
Position Location: This role supports our Harleysville, PA branch location, which serves customers throughout the greater Philadelphia, PA area.
Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive testing and inspections for systems under maintenance agreements
- Create detailed test and inspection reports based on code requirements and customer needs
- Swiftly respond to, troubleshoot, and complete necessary repairs to maintain system functionality. Report on activities completed, deferred, or requiring further action or material
- Identify code and non-conformance issues, ensuring adherence to required standards
- Quote small repair jobs and provide detailed parts and labor requirements to estimators and sales for large repair projects
- Plan work with Lead Technicians and Supervisors to strategize tasks effectively
Requirements
- Basic Qualifications: 1+ years of experience in the installation and/or maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems (mid-level); 3+ years of experience in the installation and/or maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems (senior-level)
- Must be willing and able to differentiate types/colors of wire, use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet, carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted
- Must obtain NICET Fire Alarm Certification Level 2 within 12 months
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to read/understand design and construction documents
- Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
- Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years’ experience in the installation and/or maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems; NICET certified
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications: Basic high school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred
- Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years’ experience in the installation and/or maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems; NICET certified

Pay
The pay range for this position is $54,121 - $107,590 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
