Fire Alarm Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Carry out system maintenance and inspections to maintain optimal performance
• Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions
• Stay informed about industry trends and advancements to offer recommendations for improvement
• Be readily available to assist technicians
• Provide detailed notes on work orders daily
• Perform tasks in unusual and sometimes challenging positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, high lift equipment, working in ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
• Have knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and multi-meters
• Be prepared to work after hours and weekends as needed based on customer demands
• Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation
• Hold Notifier and/or Gamewell Certification, NICET, and relevant state licenses
• Have at least 5 years of technical field experience in fire alarm systems, with additional experience in leadership roles
• Show thorough knowledge of fire alarm systems, plans, specifications, and contracting relationships
• Be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Show excellent customer service skills, including strong interpersonal communication abilities in technical phone or onsite support
