About the role
We are seeking skilled Fire Alarm Service Technicians and Inspectors to perform inspections, testing, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing of Fire Alarm systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, testing, and some repair tasks on fire alarm systems.
- Respond to scheduled and emergency service requests; perform in-depth troubleshooting, repair, and/or replacement of system equipment.
- Program fire alarm systems or have experience with programming low voltage systems including fire alarm, nurse call, access control, security, or CCTV.
- Resolve problems through research of multiple alternatives.
- Communicate and interact effectively with contractors and building owners.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
- Assist customers on-site with questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Effectively communicate project status to management.
- Complete all appropriate company paperwork as required.
Requirements
- Active Texas Fire Alarm Technician (FAL) Certification is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Fire Alarm/Low Voltage industry.
- Experience with the following manufacturers is preferred: Edwards/EST, Kidde, Notifier, FireLite, Bosch, Silent Knight, DSC, Telguard, and Gamewell/FCI.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; must meet background and driving record requirements.
- Proficient in the use and application of industry-related equipment including MS Office.
- Excellent communication skills, using tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers.
- Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.
Physical Requirements
- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, and above ceilings.
- Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools as required and lifting up to 75 lbs.

Pay
USD $25.00 - USD $40.00 per hour.
