About the role
Convergint is seeking a full-time, enthusiastic, results-driven, and forward-thinking Fire Alarm Service Technician to join their dynamic team. This role involves servicing and programming fire alarm systems, contributing to a positive culture that values growth, accountability, and delivering results.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the testing, programming, and commissioning of fire alarm and life safety systems.
- Service and maintain fire alarm and life safety systems according to local and national codes and company policies.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and manuals to perform tasks.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers to ensure high-quality service.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures for health and safety.
Requirements
- Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
- Technical skills and experience related to fire alarm systems, including programming EST 3 or EST 4 (Edwards).
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, capable of using various hand and power tools.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean record.
- Ability to travel to jobsites regularly, with minimal overnight travel.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a fire alarm service technician.
- NICET II Certification in Fire Alarm.
- Power Limited Technician License or Registered with 6000 hours logged.
- Associate's degree in electronic technology or similar field (preferred but not required).
Skills

Pay
The expected compensation range for this position is between $25.00 - $36.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Schedule
