About the role
Join our dynamic team of enthusiastic, results-driven, and forward-thinking Fire Alarm Project Technicians. You will install, program, perform system start-up/check-out, testing/commissioning, customer training, and all associated documentation on assigned installation projects, including more complex projects.
Responsibilities
- Install, program, perform system start-up/check-out, testing/commissioning, customer training and all associated documentation on assigned installation projects including more complex projects.
- Work with Fire Alarm Designer to ensure fire alarm system meets all relevant codes and standards.
- Work closely with the Project Manager and/or Operations Manager and assist in the overall coordination of specific projects; make recommendations regarding quality of work and potential changes in scope and identify ways to continuously improve custom er.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested.
Requirements
- Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.
- Ability to convey complex subject matter to a non-technical audience.
- To be a self-starter and work well with little supervision.
- Willing to learn technical skills and/or experience related to fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security.
- Experience programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning Edwards or equivalent fire alarm systems of small to medium size.
- Willingness to coach and mentor less experienced.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Possess low voltage electrical license as required by local/state.
Qualifications
- Education: High School/GED or equivalent experience.
- Licenses & Certifications: 3-5 years relevant experience (required); WA06 Electrical License (required); NICET Certification (preferred but not required); EST Certification (preferred but not required); Associate degree in Electronics or related field including equivalent military experience (preferred but not required).

Pay
The expected compensation range for this position is between $25.00 - $50.00 per hour depending on experience.
Schedule
Minimal overnight travel may be required.
