What You'll Do as the Fire Alarm Project Manager
- Manage fire alarm, suppression, and security system projects from award through closeout
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
- Monitor project progress to ensure timelines, quality standards, and financial objectives are achieved
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, contractors, vendors, and internal teams
- Cookordination activities between design, installation, service, and subcontractor teams
- Lead project meetings and communicate status updates to stakeholders
- Review project documentation, drawings, submittals, and change orders
- Support commissioning, turnover, inspections, and project closeout activities
- Track labor, material, and project costs to maintain profitability
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and customer requirements
Must-Haves as the Fire Alarm Project Manager
- Project management experience within construction, electrical contracting, building systems, fire protection, security systems, or a related industry
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and customer-facing abilities
- Ability to coordinate diverse stakeholders and project teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Nice-to-Haves as the Fire Alarm Project Manager
- Fire alarm, fire protection, life safety, or security systems experience
- Commercial construction project management experience
- Electrical contractor project management experience
- Familiarity with NFPA codes and industry standards
- Experience using Procore
- Experience using Salesforce
- Experience with commissioning, inspections, and project closeout processes
