Job Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, testing, services and preventative maintenance of life safety and fire suppression equipment
- Handle low voltage wiring and corresponding devices for the operation of low voltage equipment
- Communicate daily with Project Manager and/or Schedule Coordinator regarding inspection or project delays, requirements, and general status of job
- Ensure complete closeout and turnover of jobs to the client (confirm work is completed to it can be billed in full)
- Train apprentices on Company procedures, system inspection, and report accuracy
- Comply with all company Safety standards and existing company policies
- Work nights and weekends as needed
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-years of experience as a fire alarm technician
- NSFM F Card
- Strong working knowledge of life safety and NFPA codes
- Strong working knowledge of alarm panels, devices, and critical components
- Valid driver’s license, in accordance with Company policy
- Clean appearance and reliable transportation in accordance with Company Health & Safety Pocketbook
- Pass drug screen, background check, and reference check
- Able to complete documentation as necessary, proficient in the use of iPads and programs as required by company
- Capable of presenting information and responding to questions from managers, customers, AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction), and the general public
