AWT has the following position open in our Anaheim location: The schedule for this position is Mon. - Fri., Hours are - 5:30am to 1:30pm. Additional days and hours may be necessary due to production requirements. Required Job Duties Include the following. Special projects and other duties may be assigned as needed. Adhere to existing safety and quality processesPerform plate mounting timely and accuratelyPerform inspection of incoming platesClean printing plates upon completing of productionMaintain plate files in the established and organized structureRun Finishing Press Operator and perform routine maintenance, on schedule and according to procedurePerform adjustments accurately, efficiently, and according to procedureMonitor the finishing process to maintain high finished product qualityStage raw material for upcoming ordersStore raw material upon completion of production in established areasAssist in job changeover to minimize waste and down timeMix inks as necessaryUnderstand machine capabilities to achieve optimum quality, throughput, and waste minimizationUpdate real-time order data through internal information systemsPerform order Q.C. checks according to work instructions to ensure accuracyKeep aware of deadlines and produce orders to meet commitmentsAdvise Purchasing of supplies inventory levelsParticipate in training programs facilitated by Production ManagerAdhere to existing work instructions/processes and contribute ideas and recommendations for continuous process improvementSweep, mop, empty trash cans, clean work surfaces and perform any applicable maintenance duties to keep the production area suitable for customer toursCross train on the Omega die cutter to serve as a back-up operator Requirements Provide regular feedback on ways to improve production processesProvide recommendations and feedback to management regarding operational capabilities and limitationsMaintain a very organized, clean, and safe work environmentParticipate in a continuous learning environmentAdjust to new objectives as necessaryKeep up to date on industry knowledgeBe able to work at times under high-pressureUnderstand the importance of customer needs for both internal and external customersBe receptive to feedbackBe a good listener and open-mindedPossess a cooperative, team attitudeFollow procedures/work instructions wellBe detail orientedHave strong dedication and good work ethic Qualifications Machine operating experienceGood troubleshooting skillsExperience maintaining equipmentPrinting experience is a plus Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Basic understanding of Word, Excel, E-mail programs Physical Demands Lift up to 50 pounds without aidMove/handle up to 250 pounds with aidExposed to intermittent noise levels approaching 100 decibelsUse of harsh chemicals (isopropyl alcohol, petroleum-based imaging oil)Exposure to modest amount of ozone Summary AWT is an Equal Opportunity Employer and we encourage all qualified and interested persons to apply for available positions by submitting an application or resume for consideration.
