Finishing Operator I

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs all assigned finishing department operations
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to management
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures
• Completes and maintains accurate paperwork/labor reporting
• Absorbs and applies lean and finishing equipment knowledge and techniques to deliver on CI expectations
• Assists in other areas as needed

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED
• Manufacturing experience
• Vocational/Technical Degree preferred

SKILLS

• Reads and understands operation specification sheets
• Grasps, manipulates, and assembles small objects
• Works independently with little supervision
• Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to multi-task
• Works accurately and efficiently in a fast work environment

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Moderate noise level
• Manufacturing environment
• Exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration
• Personal protective equipment used frequently
• Occasional working outdoors
