Finishing Operator
About the role
The selected individual will be responsible for cleaning out core debris prior to shipping, verifying product is within tolerances using measuring devices, repairing product defects, perforating, trimming, or sanding to meet customer specifications, and preparing parts for shipping including kitting, pre-packing when required, and storing parts safely.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning out core debris prior to shipping
- Verifying product is within tolerances using measuring devices including protractors, scales, calipers, micrometers and other inspection tools
- Repairing product defects such as open nodes, split cell walls, bond lines, and other surface repairs
- Perforating, trimming, or sanding to meet customer specifications
- Preparing parts for shipping including kitting, pre-packing when required, and storing parts in a safe manner
Qualifications
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent, required
- Minimum of six months experience required, preferably in manufacturing
- Experience using small hand and power tools, a plus
- Basic computer skills - WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint, required
- Must be detail oriented and possess good organizational skills
- Experience working with handheld scanners, interacting with MRP or inventory control systems, preferred
Requirements
Eligible candidates must be a: U.S. citizen, U.S. national, person lawfully admitted for permanent residence, temporary resident under sections 210(a) or 245(A) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, person admitted in refugee status, or person granted asylum.
