Finishing Operator I

About the role

Trojan Battery Company is seeking a Finishing Operator for their 1st shift. The role involves ensuring batteries are correctly filled, washed, and wrapped for shipment. Key responsibilities include operating equipment, conducting tests, and adhering to quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Correctly file all possible corrective arc issues using proper tools.
• Proper disposition of defective batteries to MRB.
• Operate Hydrometer during disposition testing.
• Stack batteries on pallet in configuration according to work order.
• Operate Wrapping machine and identify malfunctions with the equipment.
• Identify arc marks, banding, and other defects on batteries, pull from conveyor and send to repair.
• Conduct HRD testing.
• Determine which product parts and raw materials to use for various processes and packaging meets quality requirements and standards.
• Assist in set up of automatic equipment.
• Afford PM on all equipment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 0-6 months manufacturing/plant experience.
• Forklift certification.
• Basic English proficiency to interpret work and apply safety instructions.
• Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Clean shaven.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time.
