Responsibilities
- Operates production machinery in accordance with company standards
- Make-ready, adjusts, and runs jobs efficiently to meet safety and productivity standards
- Produces required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances
- Obtains job tickets and reviews prior to running orders
- Measures finished parts with precision tools to ensure compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications
- Maintains logs and records of units produced, including errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces
- Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance
- Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area
- Ensures appropriate contact relief and machine hand-off during shift changes
- Works as a leader of the crew, overseeing operator assistants, feeders, packers, and inspectors
- Follows all Safe Quality Food (SQF) responsibilities, including plant rules, hygiene, and allergen procedures
- Reports potentially unsafe conditions related to SQF and participates in root cause and corrective actions
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1-3 years of related experience and/or training
Skills
- Ability to troubleshoot, adjust, and debug machinery
- Knowledge of basic manufacturing practices and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret designs and documentation
- Basic mechanical ability to adjust equipment for maximum production and quality
- Ability to match or detect color differences
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Maintains cooperative working relationships and demonstrates a positive attitude
- Performs duties independently with minimal supervision
Schedule
- Must be able to work 8-hour shifts plus overtime as required
- Willingness to work alternate schedules, including early mornings, nights, and weekends

- Occasional right and left hand grip, elevated work, repetitive squat, repetitive reaching, step ladder climbing, rotation sitting
- Wear PPE when required: safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.
- Reading computer screens or other electronic devices
- Use of various office equipment
