Finishing Load/Unload- 1st Shift
Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is seeking a Finishing Load/Unload associate for the 1st shift. The hourly rate is $20.21. Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, and market considerations.
About the role
You will assist paint line performance by performing duties including hanging and removing parts and material from load bars, recording pieces, hours, and load bar information on a computer.
Responsibilities
- Carry and lift parts to hang or unhang from the painting production line
- Perform visual inspections of material before and after painting
- Mask, wrap, and touch-up paint parts as needed
- Maintain components and supplies for efficient operation
- Perform 5S and continuous improvement activities
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
- Must currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX (no relocation benefit offered)
- Eaton will not sponsor employment-based immigration for this position
- Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally to frequently (33-66%) and up to 75 lbs occasionally by stooping, reaching, and bending
- Ability to read blueprints and use simple measuring tools
- Ability to follow directions, work independently, and pay close attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team responsible for assembling products or components
- Ability to reach, grasp, bend, and manipulate objects
- Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and up to 12 hours in a shift, as needed
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (eight to twelve hours) and perform repetitious tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with powder painting
- Experience in a production environment
Schedule
Core hours are 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
