Finishing Associate - 2nd Shift

About the role

Buck Company LLC is seeking a Finishing Associate to join their 2nd shift team. This position is crucial for ensuring the quality of metal castings before they reach customers.

Responsibilities

• Precision Finishing: Operate industrial grinding devices to remove excess metal from castings.
• Initial Processing: Use gate-breakers and hammers for casting preparation and separation.
• Quality Inspection: Conduct thorough quality checks and sort castings according to type and standards.
• Maintain Compliance: Adhere to company safety policies, procedures, and quality protocols.
• Team & Growth Focus: Participate in cross-training opportunities to enhance skills and flexibility on the production floor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to safely lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs.
• Standing for long periods in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality for 2nd Shift operations.
• Teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Clear communication skills, including comprehension of instructions and acceptance of coaching and mentoring.
• Safety focus and adherence to Buck Company's safety policy.
• Previous experience or knowledge related to metal casting defects or industrial finishing is a plus.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have the ability to safely lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs regularly, stand for long periods in a non-climate-controlled environment, and maintain regular, punctual attendance.
