About the role

As a Finisher, you will perform a variety of finishing processes including blasting, powder coating, polishing, and occasional wet coat painting on metal parts/surfaces. You will be responsible for taking care of the equipment you use, including cleaning and basic preventative maintenance. You will work with various materials and safely label, store, and dispose of those substances. Forklift operation and basic maintenance will be part of your daily tasks to move equipment to/from other departments. Responsibilities

  • Perform finishing processes such as blasting, powder coating, polishing, and wet coat painting
  • Maintain and clean finishing equipment, including basic preventative maintenance
  • Safely label, store, and dispose of various materials and substances
  • Use hand and power tools during the finishing process
  • Operate and perform basic maintenance on forklifts to move equipment between departments
  • Follow safety procedures and monitor equipment for safe operation
  • Read and interpret basic parts drawings

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally
  • Organized, detail-oriented, with effective time management and prioritization skills
  • Complete training to become forklift certified within 30 days
  • Finishing experience with wet and/or powder coat paint (preferred)

Pay

Starts at $20.25 per hour.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday - Thursday from 5:30 am to 2:30 pm and Friday from 5 am - 9 am.
