About You

Responsibilities

• Participate in mandatory stretching exercise program
• Receive direction and work orders from supervisor
• Verify that tools and equipment are in proper working condition
• Perform daily routine maintenance inspections of equipment
• Keep work area clean and orderly
• Follow all safety regulations
• Report labor/machine time to complete operation
• Use appropriate measuring devices to ensure proper size and quality of finished product
• Inspect material for defects and take corrective action to repair if possible; record all non-conforming pieces per Buechel Stone quality standards
• Perform finishing processes on stone, including rock facing, bush hammering, sanding, chop sawing, and using flame
• Fix and repair holes and imperfections in stone to meet Buechel Stone quality standards
• Wrap, package, and band finished product for shipping
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Highly detail-oriented—extremely mindful and observant of all details
• Math skills—ability to perform basic addition and subtraction, solve for unknowns, and visualize data relevant to the workplace
• Technical skills—ability to carry out physical or digital tasks required for daily responsibilities
• Finishing experience preferred
• Ability to read and write English
• General understanding of MSHA 30 CFR Subparts E (Explosives)
• Ability to read seams in ledge
• Product knowledge
