About the role
Allegion is seeking a Production Finish Welder for a full-time position at its Technical Glass Products facility in Snoqualmie, WA. The Finish Welder is responsible for various tasks including set-up, fitting, welding, and finishing preparation.
Responsibilities
- Perform assigned welding techniques with high attention to detail.
- Coordinate with supervisors or weld prep and scheduling positions for all work.
- Check material for defects and correct dimensions.
- Verify all operations have been completed as specified on documents.
- Report all issues and inconsistencies.
- Initiate corrective actions to resolve NCR's and get material back into production.
- Expedites orders through welding as required.
- Operate equipment per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in a safe manner.
- Organize and maintain areas around the welding area.
- Improve work flow, processes, or procedures as needed.
- Write Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) as required.
- Maintain equipment and tools as required by manufacturer and as directed.
- Train additional team members.
- Perform metal finishing work using manual and power tools.
- Periodically perform welding and finishing tests to maintain proficiency.
- Perform multiple operations simultaneously, often required.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal team members.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with MIG and/or TIG welding.
- Proficiency with MIG, TIG, and thin gauge welding techniques.
- Proficiency with sanding and grinding techniques.
- Experience in aluminum and/or metal finishing, stainless steel preferred.
- Technical degree in Welding preferred.
- Experience working with galvanized material preferred.
- WABO certification or equivalent preferred.
- Attention to detail and ability to read blueprints, production, and technical drawings.
- Able to complete assigned tasks in a limited time frame.
- Strong organizational and math skills.
- Remains alert in a high-risk environment.
- Able to assess priorities and determine urgent needs.
- Maintains schedule and tasks despite interruptions.
Qualifications
- Physical requirements: Heavy work, moderate to loud noise, dusty environment, frequent lifting up to 70 pounds, occasional lifting up to 100 pounds, standing, stooping, walking, twisting, bending, overhead work, and use of production aids.
- Work environment: Assembly plant/warehouse, welding operations, time pressure, rapid task performance, communication, interaction, and multiple concurrent tasks.

Pay
The expected Base Hourly Range: $27.00 - $30.24. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Schedule
Currently Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM. Occasional overtime. Schedule to move to 4x10 hour schedule in future.
