Fingerprint Technician

About the Role

The Fingerprint Technician will serve as a shared team member for multiple divisions within the company, with the primary responsibility of capturing fingerprints for incoming applicants. This position also provides exceptional administrative support and customer service to the department. The role is based in Annapolis, MD.

Responsibilities

• Assist applicants via email, telephone, and in‑person interactions.
• Schedule fingerprinting appointments.
• Process payments and perform quality control on applicant paperwork.
• Fingerprint applicants (training provided; no prior knowledge required).
• Travel to AACPS office, PGCPS office, and other off‑site locations to perform fingerprinting services.
• Complete daily administrative tasks in Microsoft Office to close out fingerprint assignments.
• Support other office areas with administrative functions.
• Participate in record‑improvement and cross‑training responsibilities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Pass a thorough background check, including fingerprinting.
• Complete and pass the State of Maryland certified fingerprint technician course.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to multitask efficiently and effectively.

Skills

• Bilingual – Spanish is a plus (not required).
• Notary certification is a plus (not required).
• Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• High level of customer service with regular customer interaction.
• Proficiency with general computer and system navigation.

Pay

$18‑19 per hour
