About the role
This internship is a public-facing creative internship for students who want hands-on experience supporting art events, recreational art groups, gallery-style gatherings, and community programming.
Responsibilities
- Support live painting, drawing, and digital illustration activities during public and private art events.
- Aid lead artists, instructors, and coordinators during recreational art groups.
- Prepare art materials, guest stations, creative prompts, and event layouts.
- Help develop art activity ideas inspired by painting, illustration, anime, manga, character design, color, mood, and storytelling.
- Observe how public art events are planned, promoted, hosted, and facilitated.
- Represent The Beverly Hills Private Art Community professionally during events.
Requirements
- Currently studying Fine Arts, Studio Art, Illustration, Painting, Drawing, Digital Art, Animation, Design, or a related field.
- Based in Los Angeles or able to attend in-person events in the Los Angeles / Beverly Hills area.
- Interested in gaining real-world experience outside the classroom.
- Comfortable working around guests, artists, event coordinators, and community members.
- Curious about art events, gallery culture, creative communities, and public-facing art experiences.
- Reliable, organized, and willing to learn.
Qualifications
- No previous professional art job is required.
- Class projects, personal work, sketchbooks, digital art, paintings, and student portfolios are welcome.
Skills
- Interest in painting, digital illustration, anime-inspired art, manga-inspired art, character design, or visual storytelling.
